7 days? I’ve got all the time in the world!
It’s true, I’m a bit of a laissez-faire traveler. Since I was little the rule was “If you can’t carry it, you can’t take it.” So, more often than not, I’m traveling with a ton of mix and match outfits and something I can run through the airport with (which I’ve done plenty of times). When it comes to preparing for travel, I always make sure I have the important things (valid passports, visas, etc) but I rarely pre-plan anything else. I live my life with the “we’ll figure it out” mantra. I have a feeling this will make for an interesting travel partner with Robert. As of today? I haven’t really even thought about what I might pack. I’ll probably figure it out while I do laundry the day before I leave. Oscar and Felix anyone?
7 days away from the big adventure
Have spent all weekend prepping and I’m much more at ease in preparation for the upcoming trip. What do I have to accomplish over the next 24 hours – a lot. But I feel a little more at ease. Got the necessary travel stuff, have the clothes laid out. It will all come together.
Now I ask you – what do you want to see on this blog? It’s funny – I’ve set up blogs before and have seem them morph into living and organic entities. I’m anxious to see what this morphs into.
We got over 100 views in the last 24 hours – very excited about this!!!!
It Just Hit Me
So it just hit me. A week from today – I’ll be across the pond. For the first time. Ever.
This trip is something which I’ve always wanted to do but hadn’t planned on it happening. It’s going to be a great adventure for myself and my travel friend, Robin, as we embark on such a historic crossing onboard the newest and most innovative ship in the world. Our adventure doesn’t start at the same time – I’ll depart on Tuesday, she’ll depart on Saturday. But we both look forward to documenting this amazing trip for our friends and loved ones.
Tuesday will be here before I know it. Time to pack – as the week is jam packed full of activities until then!
